It has been our privilege to serve the people of Lake County since 1968. We are one of the oldest and largest eye care centers in northern Illinois, and one of the only practice to offer full service medical, surgical, and optical eye care. In addition, we have 24-hour emergency care, our own on-site optical laboratory and four convenient locations.

Our professional staff includes two full-time, board certified ophthalmologists, with specialties in the care and treatment of refractive surgery, cataracts, diabetic/retinal problems; two experienced optometrists with specialties in contact lens fitting and low vision services, and 28 technical and support staff members.

The Eye Care Center combines medical expertise, optical specialties, technical proficiency and excellent service to ensure that each patient received the highest quality of care.

Visual Fitness Institute

Interrelated visual skills working in harmony play a critical role; in an athlete's ability to perform at peak performance levels; in the student's ability to succeed in school; and in a brain injured patient's ability to benefit from rehabilitation therapy.

The Visual Fitness Institute was founded in 1989 as a subsidiary of the Eye Care Center of Lake County. The stated objective of the Institute is to improve the visual skill levels, utilizing the most technologically advanced vision training and equipment.
